Dundee, Angus, Scotland
Bob McCurley is probably the best known Birder in Angus/Tayside being heavily involved in all aspects of Angus Birding/Natural History for more years than he cares to remember. Bob formed the Angus and Dundee Bird Club in 1997 (A.D.B.C.), membership has risen to 200 plus members in that time and Bob is the Current Chairman. The Club set up the First Seawatching Hide on the Angus coast, overlooking Lunan Bay affording great all year round viewing of Sea Birds in the Bay plus passage Autumn Sea Birds. In addition the club operates a Forest Hide/Bird feeding station giving great close up views of forest birds and great photographic opportunities. The club has its own Website at www.angusbirding.com and in 2003 forged a Twinning Alliance with the Denver Field Ornithologists, Colorado, U.S.A. Angus enjoys activities from 5 Local Natural History groups, viz, R.S.P.B. S.W.T.
